With the closing of the second largest open dumping ground in the country, in the city of Belém, Pará, hundreds of waste collectors face the search for survival, in a new context marked by abandonment and the lack of social inclusion policies.
The series “AURÁ – EU SOU DE LÁ”, directed by Úrsula Vidal and Homero Flávio, produced by Visagem Filmes, follows the trajectory of the struggle of 5 people, over 2 years, recording the daily work on the mountains of garbage; the 24-hour protest that postponed the closure of Aurá; and the challenge of rebuilding life without their place of social shelter and the base for the sustenance of its families.
